Kathy’s artefact

Black and white photo of a waterfall flowing over rocks surrounded by trees.

“I've always been drawn to and loved chasing waterfalls. I cherish this old photograph of Bridal Veil Falls in Leura, NSW - one of my favourite and most magical places to visit. This area holds special cultural significance as women's Country, as a place of purification and a birthing place.

Taken in 1922, this photographic artefact was a special birthday gift from my best friends. It reminds me of the importance of noticing and honouring the natural beauty in the world and how it has mesmerised people through the ages.”
