SANDRA WALLACE, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Artefact was established in 2010 by Dr Sandra Wallace, who remains the company’s Managing Director.
What ever your heritage project we are here to assist. Country or city, desktop or fieldwork, we’ve covered most of New South Wales and ACT. Our advice and services are customised to offer the best guidance on how you can proceed, whatever your project type. We consult right across the scale from neighbourhood architectural practices to multinational developers. But don't take our word for it! Check out our testimonials from our clients.
A significant proportion of Artefact’s projects are the result of repeat business and client referrals. While we’re proud of this record, the reassurance for you is that our clients keep coming back.
The examples showcased here tell you more than what we do. They also demonstrate how we can help you achieve your goals. We understand that heritage is often just one part of a much larger project, which is why we tailor our advice, research, fieldwork and reporting to keep your plans on track and in the black.
With offices in Sydney and the Hunter Valley, Artefact has undertaken projects across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Don’t be surprised if we’ve worked down the road from your site. If the examples on show here don’t match your project type or location, drop us a line to ask how our state-wide experience matches your needs.
The Artefact team takes a collaborative approach to all projects, with a focus on meeting your scheduling goals:
DELVERING YOUR PROJECT TYPES
We understand that heritage is just one consideration in your plans. Our advice and services are customised to offer the best guidance on how you can proceed, whatever your project type. We’ll understand what you need because the chances are that we’ve already delivered services for a similar project.
We’ve worked with individual property owners to suggest how they can adapt their heritage-listed home. We’ve also spent years advising on how to mitigate heritage impacts across Sydney’s vast commuter rail network. Perhaps you’d like us to archivally document a former banana plantation on the north coast, or survey your solar farm deep inland for potential Aboriginal artefacts. Our team has assessed major infrastructure such as a heritage-listed dam, and researched a wooden beam unexpectedly located during minor excavation works. In every case we have quickly mobilised a team, prepared a report and delivered professional advice.
While we understand that your project is unique, you can benefit from our long and extensive experience.
