Provide a Construction Environmental Management Plan to satisfy the Council of the Shire of Hornsby’s development consent requirements.
Approach
Development of the CEMP involved detailed review of the Hornsby Shire Council development consent and the various associated assessment and design documents, as well as working closely with our client, the developer, and other consultants involved with the project.
Outcomes
Requiring approval from the Council of the Shire of Hornsby, the CEMP was a key requirement for the development to proceed to the construction stage.
The CEMP helped identify and manage environmental risks for the project, allowing works to proceed whilst minimising risks to the community and the environment.
Implementing the CEMP helped the Project Team systematically meet regulatory and policy requirements, while also facilitating continual improvement. Any environmental controls found to be ineffective, or lacking are identified through the CEMP process, and appropriate rectification actions taken and documented. The CEMP was a standing agenda item of project control group meetings.
