Kylie has worked in the heritage sector as both a museum collections assistant and archaeologist since 2006. She has experience in Aboriginal and historic archaeological assessments and excavations for projects in Sydney and regional New South Wales, working on a variety of small and large scale infrastructure, residential and commercial developments.

For the past eight years, she has developed her speciality in artefact cataloguing and analysis, with a specific interest in ceramic analysis.

“I love tiny things and I found this book after I lost my collection of mini things during a move. It is part of a series of 'Lilliput' books published by A.W. Reed in the 1950s and 1970s and is a compilation of Aboriginal place names and their meanings and modern (1950s) names, as identified by the author.  

I love old books, how they smell and the pages feel, because they give us tactile experience of the past me how much we can fit in the palms of our hands and how important little things are in our daily lives.”
