Support Climate Justice

Sea Shephard is an international direct-action ocean movement that campaigns to defend, conserve and protect the world’s oceans. The Climate team worked to raise awareness of the effects of climate change on ocean wildlife.

Supporting BirdLife Australia develop a better understanding of bird behaviour to help manage and conserve bird populations. The Artefact team participated in a unique citizen-science program, observing and logging birds in Pyrmont on their lunch break.

Artefact spent the day working with the team at IndigiGrow — an Aboriginal-owned, not-for-profit native plant nursery. They potted over 300 seedlings, tried bush foods and learnt about creating balance in the sustainability chain.

Artefact participated in the Roadmap to Netzero Conference and workshop at the Australian Museum. Principal Sabrina Rosener presented at the event.
The Conference served as an important reminder to be real about the impact of climate change and to strive to reduce it.

The Artefact Climate team took to spring cleaning their local backyard at Pirrama Park in Pyrmont on Gadigal Country for the International Day of Climate Action as part of Clean up Australia’s great Spring Clean Up.

They were amazed to collect bags of litter, from the seemingly clean 1.5 hectare parkland, preventing it from being ingested by the local bird and marine life.

The Team are working on a Sustainability Action Plan for the company. This includes finding solutions to reduce usage of single-use plastics.
