MARTIN

I have many years’ experience in senior management working in a variety of industries with diverse teams.

I have been lucky enough to live and work in different parts of the world during my career including the UK and the Middle East.

Although my qualifications in Business (Applied Economics and Marketing) have informed my approach, I have taken inspiration from the many teams I have worked with to formulate a management ethos based on a growth mindset philosophy.

I am currently affiliated with the CEO Institute of Australia and contribute as a committee member with the NSW Facilities Management Australia Association.

ABOUT

MARTIN

I advocate leadership that facilitates the growth of teams as cohesive communities. The team is at the centre of Artefact’s success and my role is to support the team to achieve professionally and personally.

I am also passionate about social and environmental issues. Witnessing the repercussions of artefact smuggling in Iraq has cemented my views on the cultural and political importance of heritage.

I have worked with remote Indigenous artists in Australia on commissioned works.

I am also a supporter and participant in the St Vincent CEO sleepout.

MY ARTEFACT

This army list from 1839 contains the names of soldiers who served in the Peninsula War and the Battle of Waterloo.

I’m fascinated by the individual stories that are embedded in well known historical events.

This list is a real connection to people and their lives as played out at a critical moment in history.
