OUTREACH
 OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Artefact team are keen to do our bit for the wider heritage and environmental planning sector, whether that is hosting a student intern, training early career archaeologists, or sponsoring or organising conferences. Our team also actively support many community and not-for profit organisations.

A POSITIVE IMPACT ON
COMMUNITY

We want to foster the next generation of heritage experts through internships, training and mentoring students and early career heritage consultants. We also hope to have a positive impact on the wider heritage and environmental planning sector by contributing to peak bodies and organising talks and conferences. For example, our team includes staff who volunteer their time with:

  • Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists
  • Australasian Society for Historical Archaeology
  • Sydney Historical Archaeological Practitioners
  • Royal Australian Historical Society
  • ICOMOS Australia
  • History Council of NSW
  • Interpretation Australia

Presentations and papers are being sought for this workshop from students, academics and heritage professionals from both government and heritage consultancies who want the wider archaeological community to know what new research they have been doing, what new results they have, or what new sites have they been excavating.
